DPP software market check 2026: 23 vendors on pricing transparency and after-sale coverage
Key numbers (checked 24-25 September 2026): I looked at 23 vendors that sell Digital Product Passport (DPP), registration or warranty software. 14 of 23 publish their pricing; the rest sell through a demo or proposal. 17 offer a DPP. Of those 17, only 3 also show an after-sale owner experience such as registration, ownership or warranty (Veribl, Layerise, Arianee), and 1 of those 3 publishes pricing. The market is still split into compliance tools on one side and registration or warranty tools on the other.
How this was checked
For each vendor I read its public product, pricing and DPP pages between 24 and 25 September 2026 and recorded three things:
- DPP: does the vendor offer an EU Digital Product Passport (including battery passports)?
- Owner experience: does it show anything for the buyer after purchase: product registration, ownership records, warranty activation or claims? "Partial" means it is implied but not clearly described.
- Published pricing: can you see a price or plan without booking a call? This records transparency, not cost.
"No" means I could not find it on public pages. Vendors change their sites, so treat this as a snapshot. Detailed scoring for each segment is in the DPP, battery passport, textile DPP and registration and warranty comparisons.

What stands out
- Pricing: 14 of 23 vendors (61%) publish pricing. The self-serve DPP tools (dpp.gs, WIARA, MyProductPassport, PassportCraft, DPP Hero, Seamdex) mostly do. Enterprise traceability and automotive vendors mostly don't.
- Split market: 6 of the 23 vendors do registration or warranty without a DPP, and 14 of the 17 DPP vendors show no clear owner experience. This compares public feature pages; it does not show how many systems or QR codes brands actually deploy.
- Batteries first: battery passport vendors are the most specialised group because the 18 February 2027 deadline under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 is the first hard DPP date.
